As many of you know we usually look for a new place to live for about two months.  This is just too long for us. We just got the best new home in less than one day from the time we agreed we were moving. Kari and I decided on Saturday 4/3 at 7:45 during my SELP class that we would be moving back to the cities. When I got home at 11PM Kari and I listed 50 distinct items we were looking for in our new home, prayed and went to bed. On Sunday Morning we went to Church then we went over to Tom & Virginia’s Not Dead Yet Estate sale and made a couple requests toward getting our new home. Driving toward the cities to start looking through the news paper and stuff Cody Anderson called me an told me his website was messed up and he needed it fixed as soon as possible. I found the quickest place I could to get his website issue resolve and Kari asked me to look at craigslist. My friend Bruce Allen had just shared with me padmapper a couple days earlier while Kari and I were still considering moving and I wanted to show her this awesome tool. We opened it up and take a look at the twin cities area. There was ONE item on the page in the area we were looking, the whole twin cities. We clicked it and I said “Whoa”.  Kari said, “shall we go see if this is really it?” I said “I am calling him now.” I called and he said he had been showing it and I asked if we could come see it now and told him where we were. I asked him for the address and he started giving me directions. Kari and I had listed 50 distinct items we were looking for in a place, and this had 48 of the 50. The two items it is missing are neither one deal breakers, just nice to haves. It has an electric stove, and it lacks a fenced in yard. I have become tolerant of the electric stove at the duplex in Eau Claire. I do not like it nearly as much as gas but I have become accustomed to it. Our home is like in the middle of a park, we can run with Donovan and maybe even let him off leash.
The landlord is a pleasant young man who has really made this place nice. He has a few other units, which are all currently rented. He owns AnyTime Bail Bonds. I look forward to meeting his wife and daughter. He really talks about them with great fondness and I can see he really loves them as he is talking about them.
Our new townhome is a gorgeous 2 bedroom townhouse. The lower level is a fairly open floor plan. Beautiful tile floor in the kitchen and pergo in the living room. Richie and his friend really too some time to plan out and make this place special. I am a bit concerned about the trees in the front yard, they look diseased. But, that is the associations problem I guess. The trees have the same types of growth on them that my great freind Johnny Thomas of The Handyman Can!!! has on his trees. I will post pictures of what the trees have going on later this week, maybe you can tell us what it is.
As we were leaving, I noticed that we now live about 5 minutes from another one of my awesome friends Eric. We were going to go out to dinner with he and Juliet to celebrate, and he did not answer the phone. We will have plenty of time to do that in the future.
Kari is really excited about the new home. Our new place is actually a bit smaller than the loft in St. Paul was in living space, larger than the duplex we now live in in living space, and has less storage space than either one.  We both are now working hard on getting rid of those things in our lives that we no longer need. More information on that as time progresses. Here are a few pictures of our new home. For those of you who need it, the address is in the sidebar.
